Coppinger Coaching and Tutoring is a woman owned and operated local business with Washington state certification and eight years of public school classroom teaching experience. Sessions are personalized for each individual pupil by a teacher with the expertise and knowledge of current effective practices and techniques. Molly conducts this business because of a lifelong passion to educate and inspire learners no matter their current circumstances. She believes that education changes lives! How do I know if my child needs tutoring?

Does your child often ask for help on assignments you are unable to assist with? Does your child’s teacher say things like, “needs to practice organizational skills,” or “needs to practice math facts,” or “has trouble staying on task,” on report cards? Does your child excel in some subjects, but really struggle in others? Do they regularly say they do not want to go to school? Do they often say they are bored at school?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, your child would benefit from tutoring!

What can be expected from a session?

The first session is always a free consultation. You and your child will come to the classroom to meet the instructor. You will be able to enjoy conversation and connection over a cozy hot drink. You will be able to tour the facility and ask questions about the services. The instructor will ask specific questions to diagnosis needs and set goals for the desired outcome.

Sessions can be booked for 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Parents and guardians are able to wait in the parent area while the student is receiving services. A typical lesson will include warm-ups, review, content, learning games and a review of goal setting.

Can a parent/guardian join their child’s session?

Absolutely! Here at Coppinger Coaching and Tutoring we believe that parents and guardians are the key to student success. A family that learns together, grows together! We would be delighted to have you sit in during lessons and learn from your student and the instructor.

Which is more effective — in-person or online instruction?

We offer both in-person and online tutoring services. While our preference is always in-person, we understand that it may not work for everyone. As a veteran of online teaching during the pandemic, it became very obvious that in-person is much more impactful for all. Students are able to focus without added distractions, have all the hands on tools they need and are able to“touch” their learning.

For some, online learning may be the only option. We aim to serve anyone who wants to learn, whether they are in Belfair, Silverdale or Scotland!

Which areas do you service?

We look forward to working with students in Mason, Kitsap, or north Pierce counties. We are located in Belfair and are an easy drive from Grapeview, Shelton, Gig Harbor, Silverdale, Port Orchard, Bremerton, Poulsbo, and more.

With our online availability, we are able to help anyone, anywhere!

Why softball too?

This may seem like a random skill thrown in for good measure. It is not. Softball, or fastpitch to the younger ones, is a huge part of Molly’s life. She began playing locally as a young girl. As her talent and skills grew, so did the need for more experienced coaches. So began the years-long journey of traveling throughout the state, country and eventually continents to seek out the best coaches and competition. Efforts paid off when North Mason’s state championship softball team helped pave the way for scholarships to college. She chose Central Washington University because it was traditionally a teaching college-which is what she desired to become. Passion and talent for softball made the way for a university degree.

Bring your bat and glove and let’s get moving! There’s no longer a need to cross the bridge to get high quality hitting and infield lessons.
